She was predeceased by: her parents, Thelman Wiley and Mary Alphin Wiley; her husband Luther Bruce Jones; and her siblings, Doris Murphy Stroud and Horace Wiley Sr..

She is survived by: her son Danny Jones (Ramona); her grandson Alex Jones; her nieces, Vickie Taylor (Larry), Donna Herring (Ricky) and Debbie Jones (Donald); and her nephew Horace Wiley Jr. (Lou Ann).

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Lenoir County Relay for Life in care of Jo Ellen Sloan, 2183 Davis Mill Road, Deep Run, NC 28525.
