He was predeceased by: his parents, Asa Judson Teachey and Ruth Elizabeth White Teachey; his siblings, Doris Byrd, Velma Sandlin, Etheleen Dunham, Shirley Jenkins, Jean Monfette, Vivian Thompson, Asa Teachey, Jr. and Phil Teachey; and his pet Missy.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Jean Wiggins Teachey; his children, Tami Mills (John), Rhonda Teachey (Daren) and Paul Teachey (Amber); his grandchildren, Cailey Gauthier (Connor), Tyler Mills (Caitlin), Jaylyn Mills, Madalyn Radford (Adam) and Riley Radford (Shelby); his great grandchildren, Peyton Mills, Mason Mills and Atlas Gauthier; his siblings, Patricia Lupton, Andrea Baron and William Teachey; his brothers-in-law, Robert Wiggins and George Wiggins; his niece Ruthie Thompson; his nephew Wayne Wolf; and his close friends, Larry and Barbara Outlaw. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Howard-Carter Funeral Home (1608 W Vernon Ave, Kinston, NC 28504).
