We are sad to announce that on January 10, 2024, at the age of 85, Leslie Owen Smith of Kinston, North Carolina, born in Deep Run, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse O. Smith and Lydia Lee Sugg Smith; and his sister Vera Ann Smith Koonce. He is survived by: his wife Irene G. Smith; and his children, Yvonne Smith Stallings of Swansboro and Robert O. Smith (Dawn) of Clayton. He is also survived by four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be considered to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
