She is survived by: her parents, Coy Skeens and Loretta Williams Skeens of Kinston; her children, Jenn Skeens (Toyin Olowu) and Scott Skeens; her sister Collette Ray of Snow Hill; her niece Chelsea Ray; and also Jerry Cogar.
