It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kenneth Abernethy (Kinston, North Carolina), born in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, who passed away on April 12, 2019, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Theresa Abernethy; his daughters, Angie Cowan (Coleman), Kristi Van Zyl (Kevin) and Terri Burgess (Joe); his stepchildren, Edwin Braswell (Caroline) and Anna Lampman (Robert); his grandchildren, Julian Cowan, Eleanor Braswell, William Lampman, Davis Braswell, Benjamin Lampman, Hayden Van Zyl and Dalton Van Zyl; and his sister Anne Abernethy.
In lieu of flowers the family asks you to give to the charities that touch your heart or to donate blood at a local blood drive.
