With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Karen Jackson Skinner of Kinston, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 31, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her daughter Krista Shannon Skinner; her siblings, Helen Clark, Alberta "Dot" Griffin and Vernon R. Jackson; and her niece Lavone Parker.

She is survived by: her husband Douglas Skinner; her son Jonathan Skinner (Misty); her grandson Jared of Kinston; her son Matthew Skinner; her sister Cheryl Register (Allen Price) of Winterville; and her niece Rose Moore (Willie) of Kinston.

Flowers are welcomed or memorial contributions may be made to Faith Lutheran Church, 709 W. Vernon Avenue, Kinston, NC 28501.
