It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Ray Williams of Kinston, North Carolina, who passed away on March 21, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alva Williams and Edna Dixon Williams; and his son Chuck Spell. He is survived by: his wife Mavis "Joanne" Williams; his children, John "Jay" Williams (Ruth Moore), Tamera Jock (Peter) and Teresa Daughtey (Mac); his sister Alva Coleman; his grandchildren, Dakota Williams, Dalton Williams, Martin Pitts, Jacob Jock, Mallory Isler (Mark Isler) and Matthew Daughtey; and his great grandchildren, Houston Carlyle, Nick Isler, Lillith Isler and Maddox Williams. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
