He is survived by: his wife Margie Gray Thurman; his children, Rebecca Thurman Howell (Scott) and James Arnold Thurman (Alison); his grandsons, William Robert Thurman and Jeffry Howell; and his brothers, David Thurman (Micki) and Glenn Thurman (Beth). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
