He is survived by: his children, Wanda McPhatter of Kinston, Latisha Mervin of Snow Hill and Jerry T Mervin of Kinston; and his siblings, Mainor, Artis, Rosa Lee Harvey, Patricia Spruill of Goldsboro, Woodrow A Mervin of Goldsboro and Alton Mervin of Washington, DC. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
