He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Seymour and Mary Williams; his siblings, Cynthia Hyder, Alfred Seymour, Allen Howell and York Seymour; and his stepparents, Georgia Seymour and Jim Egan.
He is survived by: his children, Amanda Seymour Sawyer (Tim) of Kinston and Christopher Seymour of Kinston; his grandchildren, Grace, Landen, Caden, Sydney and Easton; his siblings, Ella Wade of Kinston and Gary Howell (Vicki) of La Grange; and his stepsister Janice Howell. He is also survived by family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, family requests that memorials be made to Baptist Children's Homes, designating Kennedy Home in memory of Herbert Seymour.
