He is survived by: his children, Brandon Gooding of Sims, NC and Naomi Chamblee of Kentucky; and his brother Daniel W. Gooding of Virginia. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the R. Swinson Funeral Service (208 E Blount St, Kinston, NC 28501). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Peter Church of Christ (602 J P Harrison Blvd, Kinston, NC 28501). A burial will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Eastern Carolina Veterans Cemetery (164 Longs Plant Farm Rd, Goldsboro, NC 27534).
