It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gloria Smith (Kinston, North Carolina), who passed away on April 15, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her son Thomas Alver Smith, Jr.; and her parents, Harry Smith and Ruth Smith. She is survived by: her husband Thomas Alver Smith; her daughter-in-law Brenda Smith of LaGrange; her grandchildren, Thomas Alver Smith III (Stephanie) of Graham and Davison Floyd Smith (Jessica) of Charlotte; her great grandchild Madelyn Harper Smith of Graham; her siblings, Margie Sumner of Dayline, Martha Wing (Ted) of Florida, Sarah Lewis of Hampstead, Ellen Smith of Louisiana and Harry Smith, Jr. (Glenda) of Texas; her brother-in-law Floyd (Barbara Smith); her nephew Michael Glenn Smith; her niece Jan McKenrick (Rod) of Kinston; her great-nieces, Eryn McKenrick, Rylee McKenrick, Taryn McKenrick of Kinston, Meredith Beard (Zack) of Wilson, Melanie Smith of Wilson and Kay Blizzard; and also Jeannie B. Smith of New Bern.
