It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Neil Smitherman (Kinston, North Carolina), who passed away on October 26, 2019, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Sharon Smitherman; his parents, Arthur Smitherman and Pat Smitherman; and his siblings, Freddie Smitherman and Glenda Wall.
He is survived by: his wife Hilda Smitherman; his sister Peggy Moore (Donnie) of Siloam; and his grandchildren, Bailey and Cooper Tilghman. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
