She was predeceased by: her parents, Konrad McCoy Rouse and Mary Alexander Rouse; her husband Joseph Earl Hunter; and her sister Mildred Suits. She is survived by: her sons, Joseph Earl Hunter, Jr. (Dawn) and Robert Preston Hunter (Belinda); her grandchildren, Dr. Jamie Hunter (Wooten Jones) of Greenville, Joseph E. Hunter III (Brooklyn Faulkner) of Kinston, Robert P. Hunter, Jr. of Kinston, Ethan M. Hunter of Kinston and Jacob E. Hunter of Chapel Hill; her sisters, Linda Howard of Seven Springs, Evelyn Barrow of Morehead City and Emma Jones of Hattiesburg, MS; and her brother-in-law Robert "Bobby" K. Hunter of Kinston.
