He was predeceased by: his mother Leona Smith. He is survived by: his wife Linda Hughes; his children, Brenda Andrick (Bob) of Richlands, Shannon Throneberry (Todd) of Goldsboro, Marshall Hughes (Jennifer) of Kinston and Floyd Stanley, Jr. (Renee) of Kinston; his siblings, Lousetta Coker and Venice Brown (Lindsey) of Snow Hill; and his close friends, Ricky, Jeanie Ezzell and Joe Wade. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Garner Funeral Home (209 W Peyton Ave, Kinston, NC 28501).
