She is survived by: her children, Renee Teachey (William) of Kinston and David Peyton, Jr. of Kinston; and her siblings, Jesse W. Wetherington, Jr. (Frank) of Virginia Beach and Shirley Mendez (Jose) of Snow Hill.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Tyndall Funeral Home (1005 N Church St, Mt Olive, NC 28365). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at the Pate Cemetery.
