She was predeceased by: her parents, Adolph Heath and Annie Heath; her husband James Brent "JJ" Jenkins; her brothers, Herman and Earl Heath; and her grandson Donald James "DJ" Hill.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Jenkins (Kelly) of Pink Hill, Mickey Jenkins (Kim) of Kinston and Melissa Hill (Wayne) of Pink Hill; her nephew Steven Heath (Laurinda); her niece Judy "JuJu" Stallings; her grandchildren, Lindsey Barfield (Trey) of Pink Hill, Daulton Jenkins (Gracelynn) of Pink Hill, Cody Jenkins (Summer) of Kinston, Raeli Thigpen (Andrew) of Richlands, Melany Hill (late DJ Hill), JW Stallings (Sabrina) of Pink Hill, Jeffery and John Rylan Howard of Seven Springs; her great grandchildren, Payton, Madi, Paisley, Kolby, Gary, Kelly, Emerson, Bexley and Jaydon; and her sister Glenda Tilghman (Billy) of Grifton. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews she loved.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Garner Funeral Home (209 W Peyton Ave, Kinston, NC 28501). A burial was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Pinelawn Memorial Park (4488 US-70, Kinston, NC 28504).
