He was predeceased by: his parents, L. E. "Buddy" Hussey and Dorothy Hussey; and his grandson-in-law Sgt. William Joshua Turner. He is survived by: his wife Jean Martin Hussey; his daughters, Michelle Hill (Lee) and Kim Smith (Curtis); his adoptive daughter Jimi Paderick (Chris); his siblings, Thomas "Bones" Hussey (Bonnie) and Cheryl Mooring (Carson); and his grandchildren, Justin Hill (Jessica), Kaci Turner (Josh), David Ball (Rebecca), Elizabeth Turner, Elizabeth Carol Smith (Dorian) and Dr. Amanda Smith Jones (Cecil).
A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Armenia Christian Church (1817 US-70, Kinston, NC 28501).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Armenia Christian Church in his honor.
