She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Whipple Coody and Audrey Shepherd Coody; and her siblings, Seenie Courtney and Richard. She is survived by: her husband Russell Power, Sr. of Kinston; her children, Katrina Power-Hinson (Bob) of Kinston and Russell Jr. (Lori) of Clayton; and her grandchildren, Lauren Parrish (Matthew) of Rochester, Minnesota, Matt Hinson (Katherine) of Nashville, Tennessee and Kristin Tedder (Jonathan) of Wilson. She is also survived by sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
