She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Sanders and Ocie Sanders; her husband JD Clary; her children, Terry Joe and Martha Ann; her brothers, Grady Sanders and Harold Sanders; her grandson Jeffery Clary; and her great grandchild Nathan Hester.
She is survived by: her siblings, Pauline Turner, Charlie Sanders and Billy Sanders; her grandchildren, Andrea Kay Humble, Sherrie Kay Whaley, Lee Clary, Susie Putnum, Jonathan Clary, Cole Clary, JoJo Clary, Hannah Collins, Kenzie Wright, Patrick Carter, Virginia Hester and Phillip Pruitt Jr.; and her close friend Pat Willis. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Clay-Barnette Funeral Home (303 Phifer Rd, Kings Mountain, NC 28086). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the New Bethel Church of Shelby (706 Hamrick St, Shelby, NC 28150).
