She is survived by: her husband Steve Norkett; her son-in-law Lee Gary Mayes; her brother Floyd Peterson; her children, Ed Burns (Cari) of Conover, NC, Shelby Splinter (Gene) of Apple Valley, MN and Elizabeth Burns Mayes of Charlotte, NC.; her grandchildren, Matthew Cox (Holly) and Sarah Whitener (Brian); her great grandchildren, Nolan Cox, Arthur Cox and Broderick Whitener; and her siblings, Harold Peterson and Lucille Kiser.
