He was predeceased by: his parents, Ola Mae Able and Ezell Able (Sabrina Able); and his sister Annie Pearl Able-Boyd. He is survived by: his siblings, Diane Able James (Wright), Loretta Able Ronnie (Settles) of Brown Summit, Howard Able (Jessie), Alfred Able (Betty), Ezell Able Jr (Thomasina) and Michael Able of Greensboro; his children, Samuel Able Jr of Albequerque, NM, Matthew Able of Greensboro, NC, Samantha Able Blakeney (Isaac) of Charlotte, NC and Sharon Able Wingo (Robert) of Kings Mountain, NC.; and his great grandchildren, Shandiah Able, Rayshawn Daniels, Matthew Young, Christopher Martin, David Able, Piper Able and Nameik Able.
