As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let her loved ones carry forward the torch of her memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of her love and the brilliance of her spirit. Though Ruby Lea may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her daughter Crystal Dowdle; her sisters, Katie Childers (Denny) and Ruth Ann Pope (Billy); her niece Dana Pope; and her pet Roxie.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Benson Funeral & Cremation (101 Oak Grove St, Mt Holly, NC 28120).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to VIA Health Partners Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Dr, Shelby, NC 28150.
