She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Scott Stinnett and Thelma Absher; and her husband William "Bill" Gunter. She is survived by: her daughters, Nicole Phongsa (Boone) of Kings Mountain and Kelly Harrill (Brian Davis) of Mt. Holly; her sister Linda Stinnett Myers (Albert G. Myers) of Florida; her grandchildren, Hope Moore (Ricky), Madalyn Morrow (Zach), Matthew Rimmer, Gavin Rimmer, Gabriella Rimmer and Elyn Phongsa; her stepgrandson Wesley Roper; her great grandchildren, Josiah, Liam, Korbin, Atlas, Persephone, Ezra and Spencer; and her close friend Debbie Shires.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia (700 S New Hope Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Founders Chapel of McLean Funeral Directors (700 S New Hope Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gaston County Animal Shelter or to Amy's Angels Dog Rescue, 131 Country Creek Drive, Kings Mountain, NC 28086.
