He was predeceased by: his parents, Jasper Rufus Putnam and Dona Beattie Putnam; and his wife Annie Lou Hastings Putnam. He is survived by: his children, Alan (Tina Putnam), Todd (Jennifer Putnam), Dennis (Shea Putnam), Denise (Marcus Parenti) and Ann Kinney of Matthews; and his sisters, Perline Black of Shelby and Jo Costner of Shelby. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
