She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter James and Marie Wright Carpenter; her husband James Austin "Jim" Lybrand Jr.; and her sister Grace Wolfe. She is survived by: her children, James A. "Jim" Lybrand III (Lynn) of Shelby, NC and Jayne Lybrand Dowdy (Bradley) of Boone, NC.; her grandchildren, Jamie Washburn (Jay), Lance Lybrand, Andrew "Drew" Dowdy and Rebecca Dowdy; and her great grandchildren, Ella, Claire, Kate and Quinn Washburn.
A graveside service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mountain Rest Cemetery (111 S Dilling St, Kings Mountain, NC 28086).
