He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry Moore Sr. and Maggie Austine Chambers Moore; his sister Mary Jane Moore; and his brother-in-law Roy King. He is survived by: his sisters, Myrle King of Kings Mountain, NC, Barbara Jones (David) of Kings Mountain, NC, Kaye Proctor (Bill) of Kings Mountain, NC, Millie Rayfield (Keith) of Kings Mountain, NC, Pattie Mintz (Sam) and Many. He is also survived by Many loving nieces and nephews.
