In loving memory of Joe Sephus Wyte of Kings Mountain, North Carolina, who departed this world on February 5, 2025 at the age of 87. Joe leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Wyte and Nella Morrison Wyte; his wife Rebecca "Becky" Clara Self Wyte; and his brothers, James Wyte, Jr. and Tommy Wyte.
He is survived by: his sons, Scott Wyte (Laura Dawn) of Wilmington, NC, Mark Wyte (Johnna) of Kings Mountain and Joey Wyte (Julie) of Bellevue, KY; his siblings, Jake Wyte of Kings Mountain, William Wyte (Brenda) of Blacksburg, SC, Libby McDaniel of Kings Mountain and Carolyn Ammons (Mike) of Denver, NC.; and his grandchildren, Hannah Moore (Andrew), Seth Wyte, Jacob Wyte (Mia), Emily Yeager (Craig) and Anna Wyte Joe. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bethlehem Baptist Church (1017 Bethlehem Rd, Kings Mountain, NC 28086). A reception was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Christian Activities Center at Bethlehem Baptist Church (1017 Bethlehem Rd, Kings Mountain, NC 28086).
