He was predeceased by: his parents, Peggy Rippy Wingo and James Winford Rowell; and his stepfather Ralph Jackson Wingo. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Pearson Rowell; his children, Crystal McMahan of Kings Mountain, Jesse James Roberson of Kings Mountain, Daniel Junior Roberson of Valrico and Brady C. Hannon of Gastonia; his grandson Ayden Hannon of Gastonia; his siblings, Eve Swan (John) of Oak Island, Ann Smithwick (Gary) of Kernersville and Ron Rowell of Kings Mountain; and his stepbrothers, Andrew Wingo (Sharon) of Mooresville and Robert Wingo (Lisa) of Houston. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
