She was predeceased by: her brother-in-law Gary Downs. She is survived by: her parents, Buland Short and Maude Newton Short; her spouse Robert "Bob" Creswell Shell; her children, Robert C. Shell, II of Kings Mountain and Andrea Shell (John Rosette) of Cherryville; her siblings, Ronnie Short (Carol) of Casar, Dorothy Anderson (Richard), Patty Downs of Casar and Louise Dockery (Bobby) of Valdese; and her grandchildren, Ethan Shell of Belmont, Andrew Shell of Belmont, Carson Shell of Belmont, Jacob Shell of Belmont, Madison Philbeck and Lani Philbeck of Cherryville.
