He was predeceased by: his parents, Grady Sailers and Ethel Sailers; his daughter Lisa Marie Sailers; and his siblings, Lois Crowder, Nancy Morrison, Geraldine Shelton, Naymond Sailers and Raymond Sailers.
He is survived by: his daughter Kathy McCurry (Samuel) of Shelby; his siblings, Hazel Vandyke of Lincolnton, Ronnie Sailers (Sandra) of Shelby and Donald Sailers (Tammy) of Lincolnton; his grandchildren, Dylan Grady McCurry, Jessica Marie Adams, Jana Reece Whitaker and Lilly Rose McCurry; and his great grandchildren, Jackson Lee Adams, Eli Weston Adams and Matthew Cole Adams.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Old Rugged Cross Baptist Church (2545 Shoal Creek Church Rd, Shelby, NC 28152). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
