It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Davis of Kings Mountain, North Carolina, who passed away on January 16, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Donald Davis to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Davis and Sallie Carter Davis; his wife Brenda Nadine Barnette Davis; his grandparents, Plato, Docie Parker Davis, Joseph and Minnie Richards Carter; and his sisters, Becky Randolph and Judy Varner.
He is survived by: his daughters, Melissa Davis Venable (Scott) of Lincolnton, NC and Dawn Davis Ross (Jack) of Shelby, NC.; his brothers, Frank "Shorty" Davis (Sondra) of Kings Mountain, NC and Randy Davis of Kings Mountain; his grandchildren, Levi Ross, Sara Brooks, Kristen Bean (Nathan), Jessica Ridings and Erica Duffie (Cody); his great grandchildren, Isaac and Emerald Bean Bruce; and his extended family, Rick and Donna Smart of Kings Mountain, NC.. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel (108 S Piedmont Ave, Kings Mountain, NC 28086). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mountain Rest Cemetery (111 S Dilling St, Kings Mountain, NC 28086).
