She was predeceased by: her parents, Benny Kelly and Mary Gibson Kelly. She is survived by: her brothers, James and Richard Kelly; her husband William "Shane" Mitchell; her son Elvis Whitley of Cherryville; her stepdaughters, Misty Raschella-Stanley of Grafton, WV and Lois Allen of Gastonia; her sisters, Mary Costner (Randy) of Gastonia and Edna Rose (Robbie) of Gastonia; her grandchildren, Rhonda Smith (Mike) of Gastonia, Heather Black of Deltona Fl, Samantha Alley (Shawn) of Clover, SC, Tiffany Whitley Patterson (Patrick) of Clover, SC and Johnny Whitley of Gastonia; her great grandchildren, Bentley Patterson, Chelsea Smith, Amber Smith, Brady Brazell, Harley Alley, Sadie Alley Christopher Whitley, Mackenzie Whitley, Trevor Whitley and Brayleigh Whitley; her great great grandchild Caroline Martin; and her close friends, Beth and Beverly.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at the Greene Funeral Serice West Chapel (216 Archie Whitesides Rd, Gastonia, NC 28052).
