He was predeceased by: his mother Mary VanDyke Melton; and his sister Brenda Sheppard. He is survived by: his father George Willis Melton; his wife Shirley Moss Melton; his son Jeff Melton; his siblings, John Melton (Deb May) and Deb Lynn Kates (Jerry); his grandchild Brooke Melton (Tyler Williams); and his great grandchildren, AnnaLeigha Jackson, Deacon Jackson, Alec Sisk, Gracin Sisk and Alannah Williams.
