He was predeceased by: his parents, Bobby Joe and Shirley May Scism Capps; his wife Johnnie Dianne Green; and his son James Dean Green. He is survived by: his daughter Cindy Evans (Kenny) of Rock Hill, SC; and his sisters, Sharon Shifflett of Kings Mountain and Darlene Capps of Grover. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Kings Mountain (303 Phifer Rd, Kings Mountain, NC 28086). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
