We bid farewell to Thelma McKinney of King, North Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 27, 2025 at the age of 87. Thelma touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Jackson Booth and Nora Ida East Booth; her husband Rex "Shorty" McKinney; her siblings, Walter Jackson Junior Booth (Ruth), John William Booth (Olene), Palmer Willey Booth, Bertha Marshall (Odell), Wondest Tucker (Raymond), Mary Ella Booth and Frances Avolene Durham (Reid); and her nieces and nephews, Wendal McKinney, Michael Booth, Bub Marshall, Carolyn Marion, Jane Matthews and Cheryl Martin.
She is survived by: her children, Beverly Anita Gross and Timothy Rex McKinney (Mickey); and her sisters-in-law, Peggy Booth, Sylvia White, Brenda McKinney and Shirley Barney.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Stoney Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery (1030 Stoney Ridge Rd, Westfield, NC 27053).
