She was predeceased by: her parents, Landon Mendenhall and Rhoda Mathis Mendenhall; her husband Hanley Vernon; and her daughter-in-law Sharon Marshall Vernon. She is survived by: her son Ronnie Vernon (Linda); her stepgrandchildren, Stephanie Glasgow (Chris) and Christopher Tuttle (Angela); and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Emily Glasgow, Amelia Tuttle and Kaydence Tuttle. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
