She was predeceased by: her parents, Willis Henry "Mutt" Wright and Lillian Spears Wright; her husband Lloyd N. Mitchell; and her siblings, Gary W. Wright, Donald R. Wright, Tommy E. Wright, Jerry W. Wright and Shirley W. McCollum.
She is survived by: her children, Jerry L. "Pete" Turner (Alison) and Lori T. Peters (Brian); her stepdaughters, Jennifer M. Clifton and Christine M. Akers; her grandchildren, Chance Turner, Chelsea Motley, Cailyn Turner, Madison Peters, Jacob Clifton and Maggie Akers; her great grandchildren, Tucker Motley, Teagan Motley and Holden Turner; and her brother Carl D. Wright. She is also survived by numerous other family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bassett Funeral Service (3665 Fairystone Park Hwy, Bassett, VA 24055). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at the Roselawn Burial Park (103 Clearview Dr, Martinsville, VA 24112).
