He was predeceased by: his parents, Lacy L. and Pearl Cobb Loy; and his sisters, Mildred Petty, Katherin Allison and Erma Fisher.
He is survived by: his wife Linda King Loy; his sons, Craig Lacy Loy (Robin) of Burlington and Steven Kirk Loy of Burlington; his grandchildren, Preston "Bug" Loy and Amelia Eanes; and his siblings, Hilda Schardein of Las Vegas, NV, Shirley Dixon of Greensboro, Julia Horner of Hobe Sound, FL, Pat Cheek (Harold) of Burlington, William "Bud" Loy of King, NC and Tommy Loy (Janice) of Leasburg, NC..
