It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alfred Oneal Holder of King, North Carolina, born in Stokes, North Carolina, who passed away on May 19, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Oscar Holder and Stella Sisk Holder; his wife Virginia Lane Holder; and his siblings, J. W. Holder, Curtis Holder, Audrey Bowen and Gladys Sands.
He is survived by: his children, Donna H. Boyles (David C.) and Dale Holder (Donna); his grandchildren, James D. Boyles, Laura Adams (Shawn) and Kayla Gravitt (Thomas); his great grandchildren, Kinley Boyles, Holden Adams and Aubrey Adams; and his sister Almeta Bowen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the General Fund at Trinity United Methodist Church, 725 W. Dalton Rd., King, NC 27021.
