He was predeceased by: his parent Sofrina Malatos; and his daughter Dionysia Malatos. He is survived by: his parent Dionyius Malatos; his wife Petroula Fountas Malatos; his daughter Sofia Brown (Samuel); his grandchildren, Theodore Malatos of Cary, Dionysia Brown and Chance Brown of Nags Head; his great grandchild Nova Jolliffe; his sister Voula Malatos of Greece; and also, Emilia Bakopoulos and Aristea Bakopoulos. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
