He was predeceased by: his parents, Edna Leighty Horton and Cloyd Albert Horton; his wife Betty Koontz Horton; and his brother Miles Horton. He is survived by: his daughters, Cathy Halbleib (Byron) of Lenoir, NC and Cindy Gross (Daniel) of Southern Shores, NC; and his brother Gary Horton. He is also survived by two grandsons, three granddaughters, one great-granddaughter.
