With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Howard Matthews (Kernersville, North Carolina), who passed away on May 28, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Matthews and Corrie Matthews (Arrington); and his stepson Thomas Wayne Austin. He is survived by: his wife Nannie Rose Matthews; his children, Jackie Austin (Debbie) and William "Billy" Matthews Jr. (Tina Snider); and his sister Elsie Futrell. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 3 great- great grandchildren.

Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Hilliard Memorial Baptist Church, High Point, NC.
