He was predeceased by: his parents, William Herbert Pennington, Sr. and Betty Jane Throckmorton Pennington; and his siblings, Susan Pennington and Stephen Pennington. He is survived by: his wife Carol Pennington; his children, Matthew Pennington (Barbara), Katharine Murdza (Peter), Dawn Leifeste (Brian) and Daniel Curia (Lori); his grandchildren, Megan Berry (Peter), Jessica Snyder (Sean), Jenna Curia, Clare Curia, Xander Pennington, Penelope Murdza and Phoebe Murdza; and his great grandchild Samuel Snyder. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the CART (Coins for Alzheimer's Research Trust) fund through the Rotary Club of Kernersville.
