He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Parks Barton of Virginia; and his parents, Carl L. Barton and Sarah Young Barton. He is survived by: his children, Patricia Parker of Winston-Salem, NC, Mary Darlene Fulp of Kernersville, NC and William Fred Barton, Jr. (Patricia) of Youngsville, NC; his grandchildren, William Bradley Barton (Heather), Sarah Elizabeth Barton Rouillier (Jason), Ashley Jordan Fulp, Justin Nelson and Cyrus Joseph Fulp; his great grandchildren, Maggie Ann Barton, Jackson Caine Rouillier, Savannah Elizabeth Rouillier, Macyn Lynette Fulp, Riley Ann Nelson, Hadleigh Nelson and Emma Rae Fulp; and his siblings, Joseph C. Barton (Lois) and Ann Osborne (Robert).

Memorial contributions may be made to Medi Home Health and Hospice, 315 S. Talbert Blvd., Lexington, NC 27292.
