William Childress Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Childress of Kernersville, North Carolina, who passed away on July 25, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Hastings Childress and Flora Bell Bledsoe Childress; and his siblings, Mae Dodson, Mittie Sizemore, Bertha Holt, Geneva Pendry, Clifton Childress (Clip), Bausie Childress and Leonard Childress.

He is survived by: his wife Nettie Childress; his sister Madelene Holbrook; his sons, Mike Childress (Cindy) and Danny Childress (Terri); his grandchildren, Scott Childress, Clay Childress, Drew Childress (Allyson) and Hannah Childress; and his great grandchildren, Tyler Childress, Alyson Childress and Cohen Childress. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
