She was predeceased by: her husband Bobby Lee Simmons; and her parents, Elmer Rankin Pegg, Sr. and Lenora Weston Pegg. She is survived by: her children, Terri Atkins (Devon) of Greensboro, NC, Jeff Simmons (Saundra) of Lanesville, IN and Jennifer Simmons (Carl Chase); and her brother Charles Pegg (Phyllis). She is also survived by six grandchildren; five great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to Hospice at AuthoraCare Collective, 2500 Summit Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27405.
