He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth Davis Wells; and his siblings, Robert, Elbert, Ned, Oscar, Harry and Mary Wells.
He is survived by: his parents, Troy Solomon Wells and Luddie Mae Mobley Wells; his sons, Eddy (Cammie), David (Tammy) and Terry Wells (Jane); and his sisters, Weida Ray and Allie Whittle.
