She was predeceased by: her father Robert Hurst; and her niece Ami Hurst. She is survived by: her husband Mark Craven; her mother Frances Woodhouse Hurst; her siblings, Jim, David and Sharon; her children, Brooke (Jason) and Ryan (Laura); her stepson Scott; her grandchildren, Austin, Hunter, Aubrianna, Kyrie, Karis and Selah; and her stepgrandchildren, Tristan and Alexandria.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to New Life Quilters, a Ministry of Triad Baptist Church in Kernersville, North Carolina.
