It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sterling Gene Ball of Kernersville, North Carolina, born in Tazewell, Virginia, who passed away on March 9, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Willis and Lucilia Ball; his stepdaughter Melanie Zoe; his half-brother John Ball; and his siblings, Lenward Ball, Melvin Ball, Raleigh Ball, Exie Cline and Charlotte Compton.
He is survived by: his wife Clauda Faye Hale; his sons, Charles Edward (Mitzi Ball) and Keith (Debbie); his grandchildren, Kimberly Dunckel (Arthur), Wesley Ball, Melissa Ball, Daniel Ball and Laura Ball; and his great grandchildren, Jordan, Sara, Rhett, Emma, McKinley, Jayden, LaMontaye, Knox, Austin and Elias.
